Hi,
There are a lot of people here who are in the process of immigration but very few people who already live there. I would suggest looking for some local forums, groups and communities throughout the Internet and social networks. You can connect with people living in this area via Facebook, LinkedIn, local forums and many other places. I'm sure this approach will have better outcome.
