deadline to travel on a multiple visa

My multiple visa expires on 18th, May this year.
Can I enter Canada on 7th, May? I will be staying for 10 days, from 5th to 17th, May.
Is it OK to do so?

You can, but the CBSA officer can frown as they expect the TRV to be valid for the entire length of stay.

CBSA may well just ask extra questions about trip given you plan to leave just one day before expiry visa and why you did not think to get a new TRV before travelling otherwise probably no problems

If this might get CBSA concerned, then I am in the safe side.
I got all logical explanations as my passport will expire in 5 months time and that’s the main reason behind not getting a new TRV on this passport plus I got the proper itinerary that shows my departure date which is a day before my TRV expires.
