DD encashed or not

Hi Guys,

How I can know whether the DD is encashed or not (DD issued by exchange) .

I have applied directly (no agent) from Dubai. My application was received by CIO on 4th May-10.

Please let me know how to check encashment of DD.

Go to your bankers from whom you got the DD, give them the DD no and date and they will tell you if the DD had been encahsed or not. Even if your branch is not foreign exchange branch & they made the DD from some other branch still they can trace it.

In dubai uae exchange/ al fardan/etc cannot trace whether dd is encashed . Only if u had removed a dd thru HSBC bank u can trace whether encashed or not.
