Hi Everyone,

I landed in June 2018, spent 83 days in 2018 and returned to home country.
in 2019 i didn't spend any time in Canada.

I permanently settled in Canada in Feb 2020.

Should I consider 83 Days spent in 2018?

FYI: I filed the for 2018 and 2019 with Zero income, as i was not working in Canada and didn't stay more than 183 days. in case this information makes any difference.

Thank you!

Every day spent in Canada during your eligibility period count towards RO, (soft landing or not); not including them would be missing pertinent information.

You didn't have to file in 2018 and 2019 because you were non-resident for taxes FYI but yeah in any case you must count these days.
