Need some info for a friend of mine.
Husband (Canadian PR) is sponsoring wife. The wife has 2 kids from a previous marriage who she has NO custody of. In fact, the ex-husband specifically mentioned that he would not share any details regarding the kids.
For the sponsorship, IRCC has requested birth certificates and also i have heard they require medical for the non-accompanying 'dependents'. My friend has consistently wrote in the letter of explanation on the situation and also uploaded the 'divorce settlement from the wifes previous marriage where it mentions the her not having any custody of them'. Yet, the application has been returned.
Any one has any insights on this? What action can be taken?
It's been a frustrating journey for them, especially not being in control of these factors.
