Hi,
I am in the process of applying for the study permit. I am 17 years of age and required to submit the custodianship declaration. However, there is no such thong on my checklist. The date of birth is correct and I answered "No" on the question"are you currently or will be living in Canada with a parent and legal guardian.."

As long as you are under the age of 18. You will need a custodian who is either a Canadian citizen or a Canadian permanent resident. Some universities aid international students of being their guardian as long as the student lives in dorms. Its a really complicated and inconvenient process if you plan to live off-campus because the guardian is responsible for every action you do/ will do and can't be that far away from them. My advice is to wait till you're 18, that's what I did and here I am travelling in a week.
