Hello,

I ended up in a weird situation where my current employer denied to issue reference letter with duties. They issued letter with title, start date, salary and employment as full time. What is the best bet? How should I tackle this? Please help. Thank you.

Just ask your Supervisor or even a colleague to sign on a reference letter copy that outlines your duties. CIC accepts reference letters from these people as well. Just mention that your employer failed to provide reference letter with duties, hence you are providing from a supervisor or colleague.
Attach both employer and supervisors reference letter copies.

I did the same without any issues.

Thank you for the reply Zion. What format should I follow to take this letter from my colleague? Please advise. TIA

There are no specific fixed format. Just design a letter that covers most of the points CIC expects out of a job letter and get it signed by them
