Hello all.

If on the Canada immigration website it says that your case is in progress does that mean things are fine and that you simply have to play the waiting game? If your case has been shut down or paused would you be informed of this or would the status be updated on the site telling you this for sure? Also was wondering, does everybody have to do a special interview at some point? Or is this only for some people?

When an application says "in process" you just have to wait until you are contacted by cic. It means you submitted a complete application and it's in progress; if they require additional documents they will contact you. You can also contact them by phone if you need clarification or information on your application.

Some couples are asked to do a final decision interview just to ensure the genuineness of their relationship. But that is all at the discretion of the immigration officer handling the case, not everyone is ask to do such interview.
