Hi,

I would like to know if I have to send myself a copy of CSQ to the visa office (outside Canada) or it is not necessary ?

Thanks for your help :)

Hi Pardesifr,

I had to go thru for the CSQ and my suggestion to you is, send a scanned copy by email, don't take chances, it certainly won't hurt...well that's what I did...I know the the Qc gvt sends it to your VO and at the same time I don't know how much that takes, so that's why I did email!!! Hope that answers your question! Good luck

We sent a scanned copy, and they even sent an email confirming that they received it, but yet we just received a request for my husband to send it again! Which email did you use to send the copy, might I ask?

The CSQ package mentioned that they do send it to visa offices, but that certain VOs request it to be sent by the applicant.

There is a copy in the CSQ package with the footer "3 - IMMIGRATION - CANADA" that is destined to the VO if requested.
I scanned and emailed it and told them I am ready to send the original by post if needed.

I suggest you at least email them a scan.

Sending the CSQ is pointless if you don't also send a copy of the undertaking.

MICC sends copies of both of them together to the visa office. If you want to do it yourself because you don't want to wait for MICC, there's no point just sending the CSQ.

Just an FYI: Hubby sent both the CSQ and the 2-page undertaking letter, and they still requested my hubby to send CSQ again.

How did u sent ur CSQ ? I had an sent it along with my PP just has an extra precaution.

Went through the CIC site, filled out required form (case-specific inquiries) and attached the documents. We also asked them to confirm that they received our application/file in Paris. An automatic message was sent to hubby's email confirming message was received, and then sent another a day later confirming that they have our application/file. We did wonder why they did not mention anything about the CSQ + letter that was also sent to them...sure enough, they still emailed my hubby two weeks later asking for the CSQ. Perhaps the best way to avoid them requesting it again, is to just mail them a copy directly.

CIC replied to my email with a request to post them the original CSQ, no mention of undertaking.

I'll send it out on Monday.
