Everyone, Please Advise :

Hello everyone! its SO good to see a thread for Bangladeshi applicants! thanks so much for initiating it

I am very new in here and would appreciate any kind of help. I will be applying for Quebec this upcoming week...been gathering all my docs for months now. I am not taking the help of any lawyer and hence very confused whether im doing it right or not. I am not going for Federal application, since I think i dont get full passing points in there

My details are as follows:

(1) EDUCATION+TRAINING:
Completed BBA Points - 10 + 6 = 16
Currently studying MBA - dont think it adds any value currently

(2) EXPERIENCE:
Working in HSBC as Service Quality Manager (worked as Service Quality Officer till March 2012, i guess its NOC - 1122) for 2 years and 4 months now. Points - 6
Do I have to mention the NOC code anywhere in the CSQ application?

(3) AGE:
24 Points - 16

(4) Marital Staus:
Single

(5) LANGUAGE:
IELTS score - Listening - 8, Speaking - 7 (Overall score - 8 ) Points - 6??
DELF A1 - Production Oral - 17.5, Comprehension Oral - 16.5. Currently enrolled in AF for DELF A2. Points - 2? i will give DELF A2 in Sep, so does that give me any points?

(6) Financial Self Sufficiency:
Sufficient. Point - 1

So this is where I stand. I have a cousin over there, but dont think that counts. I am thinking of writing a cover letter as well explaining my efforts to go to Quebec and other factors that might count. I need to mail all the docs directly to HK office right? Or does the Canada VFS in Bangladesh accept these applications as well?

Any other words of advice that I shud take into account before applying? Ohh & am I eligible to apply for the Federal as well? I so want to go to Canada.

Thanks and Regards,

nusrathq

Are you aware that they will refuse your application if you don't reach the interview threshold? Apparently you have 47 points and 49 are needed. Remember also that application fees ($750) are no refundable.

I'd suggest you to wait until you pass the A2 so you'll succeed.

but by then risks are that the quota will be filled! i heard they consider the fact that you are studying if you show the money receipt as the proof of enrollment in a french course... is that true? just 2 points! i'd DIE!

Sorry, but that's what it used to be, nowadays, you can only claim the points that are demonstrated through the exams results.

The fact you're enrolled in a French course doesn't necessarily mean that you will pass the delf.

There you can read how language proficiency points are awarded now:

www2.publicationsduquebec.gouv.qc.ca/dynamicSearch/telecharge.php?type=7&file=GPI-3-1.pdf
Page 35

you get points for only those levels for which you actually show a scoresheet. so hang on till you get your A2 DELF scoresheet and then apply.
yes, there is a rick of the quota getting filled and all. but you dont have other options other than extreme ones like getting married quickly etc !! ;)
