Hello everyone. I have completed a dual degree program. It started in India( 3 years) then 2 years in Canada. I received 2 individual degrees from both the Universities. Now my question is that

1)what is my highest qualification?
Is it bachelors or 2 or more certificates or degrees with one being 3 years or more.

2) What I studied in Canada?
Is it going to be bachelors or diploma since its only 2 years in Canada. But the remaining requirements have been met in my Indian degree so the credits carry forwarded.
Kindly help

You can’t double dip if you used the credits of one the Indian to get the Canadian degree. What were both degrees and their normal length.

This is simple, you send both your degree certificates to ECA. They will convert them for you to Canadian equivalent degrees (Yes they also accept Canadian certificates and does conversion) and you will find your answer. Everything else is speculation / guess.

You are essentially asking for the same degree to be assessed. Both the Indian and Canadian schools have used each others credits and will also have the same or similar periods of study depending on how the transfer credits are stated in the transcripts. The scenario is also highly unusual because typically it is only one school that gives out the degree in the end. Typically when you move from the Indian university to finish your studies at the Canadian university you only graduate from the Canadian school. I would suggest speaking to an immigration lawyer because this could be a misrepresentation issue if you claim 2 degrees but it is discovered they both use the same credits.

I agree on possible misrep. issue, but for example from WES:

What credentials do I need to send to WES to obtain an ECA?
In most cases, you will only need to submit your highest completed credential for an ECA. For example, if you have a master’s degree, you will not need to send your bachelor’s degree or secondary school records.

However, depending on your credentials and where you received them, you may need to send additional documents. Once the review process begins, WES may determine that additional documents are needed. WES decides at its own discretion if it needs additional documentation to complete an ECA. WES will contact you if more information is needed.

The probable reality is WES will see 1 degree (Bachelor's with 5 years), from Canadian University with credit transferred from India. Although OP has two certificates, they cannot both be degree awards, one of them should be just acknowledgment (most likely the Indian one). In any event, they have to do ECA anyway, so that's why I was wondering why would OP be asking about their highest degree before doing any sort of post-ECA evaluation. Once they start the process ECA authority will sort it out.
