Hello,

I am really stressed out right now because i think it is really hard to get Canadian PR. I am calculating CRS points to 389 which is very low for PR under CEC express entry. I am working as an legal assistant and it’s been one year and my work permit is going to expire in 2019 November. I don’t think my would get an LMAI for me for legal assistant position as there are many canadian people out there for this job. Please give me any suggestions.

Why are you points so low? Do you have a chance to improve your scores? Have you maxed your IELTS?

If you cannot improve your scores, and cannot get an LMIA, then your options are very limited:

1. Look through all the Provincial Nominee Programs to see if you fit in there
2. Potentially go back to school (obviously expensive, may not be feasible)
3. If you're in a genuine relationship with a Canadian PR/citizen, get married/common-law status and get sponsored.

Those are your only options, and none of them are easy.
