Hi guys,
I thought you would be the best to answer my question, but I didnt know exactly where to put it. So here goes.
My spouse recently landed in Canada (YAY!) and we are making plans to visit my family in Michigan. We have found all of the Canadian information for returning very simply. Unfortunately, finding the information for the US has been so confusing. Different sites all say different and contradictory things, so I thought some of you might have experience.
So here goes, to cross by land (Windsor-Detroit border) in a private (non-commercial) vehicle. From what we gather, we will get pulled over when attempting to cross and my spouse (member of a visa waiver country, South Korea) will be photographed and fingerprinted than given a 90 day pass (I forget the name?) into the US with a $6 fee. Is all of this information correct? There is no need for an ESTA as we are travelling by land, correct? And are there any forms we need to fill out in advance?
Thanks for everything! You guys have been great.
