Hi. My wife is American. I am down visiting my wife in the United States. I was looking at driving her back to Canada as she doesn't want to fly. We haven't decided yet if applying for Outland or Inland Spousal Sponsorship. What is the best way to handle, tell, at the Canada border. Do we say she coming over and we want to file Inland? I know she is only allowed to bring a couple of bags.

Thanks for your advice.

If you search dual intent in this forum there should be some pretty in depth threads on that with people's experiences. Sorry to not have a more helpful response - I've got to run and do something but wanted to pass that there are threads on this along.

Just keep it simple - your spouse is returning and you're helping settle in. Plan to stay for a while, not certain how much. Will be applying for sponsorship, outland or inland not decided because you're just visiting for now.

Honestly easiest if you just say you'll have affairs to settle at home - which you probably will.

Don't say anything about applying or they can refuse you entry.
