Criminal rehab - Can I submit paperwork in advance to reduce processing time?

Hello lovely people,

I am eligible to apply for Criminal Rehabilitation in January 2018 because that will be 5 years from when my drivers license suspension was completed.

I am sure I read somewhere (maybe on a lawyer's website) that the application can be submitted prior to the 5 year date so that it can be processed more rapidly. Does anyone else have experience with this? I can't seem to find the site I read it on and it was a few months ago so I can't recall all the details.

You can't submit the application until you actually qualify. Make sure the application reaches CIC after the 5 year requirement is met - not a day before.
