Hi !!

In a few months my husband will sponsored me so I am gathering all the documents. I lived in India 8 months so I will have to present a Police Criminal Clearance from that country. The problem is that the INDIAN embassy in Mexico cannot issue a PCC for non Indians neither the MEXICAN embassy in India can. Also contacted the passport authority in India and they told to consult the embassy. I read in a US Government page that this procedure does not apply for non Indians non residents but I can´t find anything official from an Indian source. Did anyone go through the same situation? I don´t know if presenting the answers from the Indian Embassy would be enough and if that is going to affect the processing time or even the outcome. Thanks in advance !!

Have you tried contacting the actual police in indian, instead of going through the embassies.
they might be able to help you because they would know how and who they give police certificates too.
I would try to contact the police force in india, probabaly the city you were living in, and see what they say.
