Will they ask for the Criminal Background Check once sponsorship is approved or do you need to include it?
From what I have read the FBI checks are over 6 months out.

Thanks

You dont necessarily have to send in clearance at time of application. You can also wait until sponsor approval, and them send them in. Make sure to write down your applicant number or UCI so its easier for them to match it with your file. I sent in mine after approval, and also paid my resident fees, and sent in my sons birth certificate after approval. Had no problems. My application was processed within 6 months in nairobi which has a wait time of 27 months..However if u have clearances on hand or any other documents important its highly recommended to include them first time. good luck

Depends on How much time you delayed for PCC but SA usually people get around or Less than 2 months and 6 month is more than that.Mine friend did not sent it and CIC sent Email to Provide PCC before In Process for His Spouse and his part for SA was Done. Not long time ago it just Yesterday and now he is waiting for PCC and might be getting in a week .And Processing time vary Case to Case and also Depend on Visa Office and if it is Inland or Outland

Also just as a side note, I asked the same question in another forum and the standard people have found is that it is taking 3 months for the FBI to process and not 6 months. Cross your fingers. We send my husband's in on 02/28/2015 and they have not taken the money from our Credit Card for payment.

BUT...another person sent theirs in in January and the payment for the FBI check went through in March. Got their clearance at the beginning of April. Just to give you an idea.
