credit and criminal checks

Hello I am a canadian citizen that was raised in the states and have lived in europe for the last 5 years. This year i am sponoring my wife and we will move from London UK to Vancouver.

My question is when applying for jobs or housing where credit and criminal checks are required do they check all countries in which you have lived or just Canada?

Depending on the type of job you looking for. If the job is armed forces such as police or army they may check it. For normal job such as bank job or private job generally employer don't do this unless there is additional information.
