I recently sent an invite for a friend in Grenada to come up to Canada and he was approved for a 6 months visitors visa, well that was all great and he was supposed to come up here this week . . . than he decided to make a bad decision and ended up in jail for a few days with an assult charge, is this going to effect the already approved visa or him coming here?

He can come on any date with in that 6 months visa.

even though he just got charged though?

Just because he's been approved doesn't mean can still come. If he has committed a crime since being approved for the visa that makes him inadmissible to Canada - then he's inadmissible to Canada and should not be allowed to enter.

If at the airport he is not asked anything then he is lucky enough. But if he asked about criminal charges then he can't lie.
What u mean by bad decision?? Jailed on serious conviction or???

It was an assult charge, he was released on bail and is now getting it delt with on friday but from what he tells me I believe he could fight the charge because it seemed like self defense to me

If he can get the charges dropped before he leaves for Canada - then he'll be fine.
