Good day. I visited the POEA- baguio City office and i was informed that i still have to undergo the CPDEP seminar and also obtain a DOLE clearance after my PDOS. I asked from my cousins in Canada if they had this type of seminar and clearance and they didnt had any of it. Please enlighten me about CPDEP and DOLE clearance. I already have my VISA and everything. VISA expiration is on 2014. Thank you so much.

What's CPDEP? Why do you need a DOLE clearance? Why is the government putting on too many red tapes to the overly long processing that the worker is already going through?

need po nyo ang CPED at pdos for getting OEC clearance.Kung flight nyo na titignan po sa immigration ang passport nyo then hahanapan kau ng OEC kasi working visa ka.
dont worry about sa pdos 2hours lang at CPED half day lang walang bayad.
tiis lang po sa procedure dito sa pinas makakalis din po tau.

hi po s inyo..hingi lng po ako ng advice if ano po pwede ko gawin in my application..kc po sinubmit ko po ung docu ko s CEM nung may 7, 2012 under LCP..at mag expire nman po un passport ko s October 2013.. im worried lng po kc baka abutan ng processing time un expiration ng passport ko..ibalik po b na CEM un passport if they request for medical exam?pede ko rin po ba renew un passport ko den isubmit s kanila ung old at new passport?...what is the best thing to do with my case?pls..gide me po..salamat po

Marky, ifever you'll be granted a work visa, the expiration of it will be a month before the expiration of your passport which is Sept 2013. VO will not grant visa beyond the expiration of your passport. That's why ideally, you should have renewed your passport first before visa application or make sure at least 3 years before expiration.

Maybe you try to call them and ask if you can still withdraw your passport for renewal, anyway they can go through your application and later ask for your passport. As we all know, getting a passport takes around 2 to 3 months nowadays,unlike before that within 2 weeks we can have our passport ready.
