Some are saying that workers cannot be fired if they dont show up for work because they feel their health is at risk. If PGWP holders dont show up, and get fired can they file a claim against employer or only PRs can file that kind of claim.

You can file a claim, anyone can file a claim , whether it goes anymore is the question
How about being more specific, what type of claim ?

So why are you afraid to go to work? Is your employer taking steps to protect you and your workplace? Is your job designated as an essential service? Has anyone been diagnosed or potentially diagnosed with Covid 19? How long have you worked there? Have you discussed your concerns with your employer?

Some individuals are classified as essential workers . A friend of mine works in a hospital. She’s classified as essential.Per the union, at this time the Government can invoke measures that override their contract . If she quits , she would not be eligible for EI. If you’re thinking of quitting during this time I’d make sure that you are positive of what you’re doing . Old rule is , pick your battles. Because if you quit, you could be without income for a very long time
