How to find out the detailed coverage details provided by Newbrunswich medicare card. Do we need to get private insurance also along with govt. heath card.

Does Govt. medicare card covers
a. Blood tests
b. X-rays , ECHO,Ultrasound,CT scan facilities
c. hormone test
d. EEG,ECG
e. all diagnostics services.

You will need private health insurance to cover the up to first 3 months. That will only cover emergencies but you can bring 90 days of medication with you. Prescriptions are the major thing that are not covered.

Thanks for the info. In case of pre-existing medical conditions which needs every 3 month consultation and regular medications to be taken. In this case , how the get coverage from govt health care or insurance for the drugs to be taken for

You will likely have to pay for any appointments and medications until you qualify for coverage. You can bring a 90 day supply of medication with you. You will have to try and find a family doctor accepting patients. Use the time before coverage to search and if you need need to see a specialist it could take months after you are referred by your family doctor. If you are unable to find a family doctor you can go to a walk-in clinic,
