Hi guys, I have all my stuff completed for spousal sponsorship PR application and I have been searching for things to do to help your application. One of the things is to write a cover letter basically giving an explanation of your history with your spouse in basically a narrative to give the officer a more readable and realistic way to view your application.

Is this necessary or needed? Will it really help or is it just going to be slid aside and regarded as just another piece of paper.

What we have included in our application has been quiet extensive. 100 photos. Scanned recipes of tickets of places we have been, zoo, aquariums, museums and other outings.. Credit Card history and explanations of the purchases. Orbits receipts from airline purchases for visits and copies of boarding passes. Skype records. Phone records. Scanned cards from birthdays and other occasions. Also 5 or so letters from relatives and friends saying our relationship is genuine.

Our packet is like 3 inches tall of papers...trying to prove without a shadow of doubt our relationship is true.

Why the crazy for such proof? Me and him drove to the border of Canda from Texas and were rejected because of a number of things. I even flew in to Toronto from Bermuda with all the things fixed (proof of income, insurance, flight back to Texas and all belongings in Texas) and was almost rejected but I was allowed to visit with the THREAT if I stayed 1 day past my boarding plane date I would never be allowed to visit Canada again.

So I might be over doing things but I have never been called a liar like this in my life (heck I passed a lie detector test for my past job to work in a police office...this is ridiculous!)

-end of rant- lol

You can do this at the end of the sponsor questionnaire as the applicant questionnaire. Both these forms say to write or give any additional information you want the vo to know. This is where you can write a little extra about your relationship.
My husband and I each wrote one page, giving a more emotional account of things and feelings, whereas a lot of the rest of the application are facts about things that took place. If u wish to add that in there, you can.

Ok I guess I will then, I am so so tired of dealing with all this stuff, and just want to send in my application asap so it can get going!

I second tink23's suggestion.

We did the same. My husband wrote 3 or 4 pages, I wrote a bit more.

It was a good way to address the potential red flags we had (short courtship) and hopefully give the people scrutinizing our application a more human view of our application.

Doesn't have to be long, but it should be in your own words, and in your own language - meaning, not a dry account, but a personal story.
