I just noticed that CIC has started counting. As of now, total applications received towards the overall cap: 48 / 12,000 including 15 NOC B applications.

Yes, somebody posted this minutes after it got updated :-)

Thanks for posting this anyway.. I still wonder how come only 48 applications have reached them in 1 month after they announced the cap of 12,000.
I was actually thinking more number of applications will be sent to them once they announced the cap.

This gives me impression that very few people are applying for CEC and assuming 12,000 cap will not be reached at all even by end of next yr..

Siri: 48 not in a month.. the number 48 is a magical number ;D

No one (except for CIC) knows the period it covers.... my assumption based on the same website which said updated weekly.

48 for one week - from Nov 09 to Nov 15

I am not sure :-\

^ So based on this assumption, we can say that the 12,000 is not going to be filled-up that easily ;)

OK.. even if we assume 48 applications per week. So in a year on average max number of applications will be 2496.

God & CEC should know about this numbers :)

Those are not 48 applications. Those are 48 applicants who have received AOR from CIC.

I think its 48 apps from a day or two who received AOR already and hence they now have to be processed.

48 for a week is a very small number...

thinking 50 apps a day and 250 working days (excluding weekends and holidays) a week the number would be 12,500 apps a year. sounds more reasonable

So 200 Sub-CAP? Is it 200 AOR's or 200 successful applications?

200 successful applicants means 200 AORs. It is the same.

Ppl do get rejected even after receiving AOR...

so that means they gonna stop after 200 AOR's in each sub-cap ... not 200 applicants getting PR in each sub-cap

Correct?
