Hi,
I’m Canadian citizen and came here with my daughter. My husband applied for visitor visa and was approved in January 2021. He visted us twice during this time. On November 28, we received a letter in his file indicating his counterfoil has been invalidated and he is not authorized to enter Canada as of that date. His file is sent to an officer for review, but no reason is mentioned in the email for this decision.
this is while my husband’s PR file is in background check and final decision steps. I would appreciate it if you can provide us with the reasons might led to this decision. Do you have any advice on what we should do at this point. We are worried that this affect his PR file processing.

There's no way for anyone here to tell you for sure what has happened. None of us work for IRCC.

I supposed it's possible that something may have come up during the background check for his PR application that relates to failing to declare a previous visa refusal or order to leave a country, or an inadmissibility or other misrepresentation issue, or a criminality or other issue. If you haven't done so already, order GCMS notes so that you can see the details behind the processing of his PR application.

There's really no help anyone here can provide.
