LANDED..........
Dec 18, 2018
Hi, all!

So, after more than two years my GF got her COPR. Rejoice! :D

Anyway, she wants to land at the office in Edmonton where she lives, as opposed to going to the border/doing it at an airport. Her deadline is March 29. She called the office and they told her they'd contact her in 6-8 weeks to arrange an appointment. 8 weeks from now is end of Feb, and since they'll be calling to arrange the appt (as opposed to the appt itself being in 6-8 weeks), she's afraid they might go past the deadline.

How do these things normally go? I'm guessing they have a system in place so that people get it before their deadlines, but she's naturally stressed about it since her PR experience has been quite stressful in general. If push comes to shove, she'll drive down to the border and do it that way, but doing it at the office would be the preferred option, of course. Can she reasonably expect that the appt will be before March 29?

Thanks so much in advance!

(I tried searching, but keep getting pages upon pages of unrelated results so that's why I'm posting like this.)

You can only wait until CIC contact your girlfriend.

But a month before COPR expiration date call again and ask for urgent landing

Anyways I would recommend a car trip to Montana (or a short trip to US) to reduce the wait, you both will be more relaxed after that
