Hi all,

Just wanted to know if medical results could be re-used? I have been through medical exam (result was medical passed)in Nov, 2014 for a family sponsorship and have a form with IME number given to me by doctor , but since they didnt accept my dependency I could not get my residency.
Just wondering if the same form could be used if I get ITA before november since they ask for upfront medicals?

I have 460 points btw. Any help is appreciated !

Thanks and good luck ~

As long as the test is within the validity period (1 year I believe, you have also noticed) it can be used regardless of what immigration stream you have applied under. So yes, you can use the same form.

I think it's too far back.

Using the medical from Nov 2014 doesn't give CIC enough time to process you after you get ITA and then doesn't give you enough time to do the landing.

On the web site it says we shouldn't do the medical before receiving ITA but I know that people here have said they've done it before.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-how.asp

"Do not complete any medical exam until you get an Invitation to Apply. You must have a medical exam before you can become a permanent resident. Your family members must also have one, even if they are not coming with you."

answer is yes you can use it, my wife and my daughter underwent the medicals last year in September and I used the same medicals and the our medical status is passed now

Yes you can use it but as yam power said in above post if you u don't get the decision before Nov then CIC might ask you for new medicals but I have seen some cases where CIC extended the expiry date by one year depends upon the grades of medical...
Thanks...

I think you have to land within one year of doing medicals so it does limit your options if processing takes longer than you expect.
