hello i would like to know how much it is in total to just sponsor my husband and only my husband from mexico to come live in canada? it is a sponsorship outside of canada. thank you

$1,040 not including the cost of the medical and police certificates.

Sponsorship application (per application) $75
Principal applicant $475
Principal applicant, if less than 22 years of age and not a spouse or common-law partner (including a dependent child of the sponsor, a child to be adopted and an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild) $75
A family member of the principal applicant who is 22 years of age or older, or is less than 22 years of age and is a spouse or common-law partner $550
A family member of the principal applicant who is less than 22 years of age and is not a spouse or common-law partner $150

how would i add these up for if it is just my husband? would it be 75+475+550? that would equal 1100

From what you have quoted: $75 (sponsorship application) + $475 (principal applicant). There is one more fee, called the Right of Permanent Residence Fee, costs $490 and is the only fee that can be paid later on (when asked by the Visa office). Keep in mind though, that CIC advise you to pay everything before hand, to avoid delays in the process.

As for the medical and police checks, that depends on the country. My medical was 250 euros and my police check was 18 euros. But there are also other costs, like translation of documents (I paid around 200 for all my documents), plus certified copies (here is 10 euros per copy). There are a lot of other small costs too.

If you are landing in Quebec, add 269$ for MICC process fee.
