Hi All, can you please share some experience about the medical exam cost you incurred for your EE entry application? I checked with one physician locally in my state and his office says $475 per member of family. This is TOO HIGH. And his office also said we cant use insurance (even though this physician is in network for my insurer). Can I get it from a different state than where I live, if that costs better?

You can get the medical done anywhere. So yes, you can certainly go to another state.

Insurance generally doesn't cover these exams since they are required for immigration purposes, not for medical reasons. So that part makes sense.

Thankyou for your response. Appreciate it. I just felt that USD 475 per person is like a loot/ripp-off, since they know its for a specific reason.

You can definitely shop around and check with designated physicians that are a reasonable distance from you.

Shop around......but don't just go for cheaper option, look for reviews and how quickly they forward the medicals to IRCC. I remember doing the mistake, went for cheaper option, that bugger did not forward the medicals to IRCC for months. I had to literally go to his office twice to make sure he sent the medicals.
I know its a loot and with a family the tab just gets bigger, look at it as investment in the future and make sure service quality is right.
