Hello

I'm hoping someone could help me with some constructive advice.

I applied to change the conditions on my work permit in June 2014. I was promoted to a new position in June but part of the work forms part of the old job. My contract was amended with a larger scope of work, different salary and different job title. Please note that it was not a new contract, but an amendment to the old contract.

I started the job in the same month of the application, June.
My work permit application is currently on hold - no deadline stated, as they are verifying things.

I would like to correct the situation, as I was essentially working without proper authorization. (I have taken steps to return to my previous job, it is in process, i.e. not complete as yet). I am also only currently working on parts that relate to the old position, but CIC does not know that, I am working within my current valid work permit which is for the old position.

Do you know how I can go about correcting this situation?

1. Should I send them a letter, regarding my error? It was an honest error.
2. How would this affect a PR application already in process?

I am not sure what to do? javascript:void(0);javascript:void(0);
