- I applied for PR through CEC-Express Entry on July 7, 2020.
- I got married in November and submitted my spouse's docs on Jan 12 via webforms
- I got COPR on Feb 5, 2021 (just for myself)
- I called IRCC to know how the file has been processed - they did not acknowledge the webforms I submitted and thus not aware of me adding spouse to my application
- My work permit expires on 27 March 2021, they advised me that I have to apply for an extension with a letter of explanation with the application
- I called them again, and they advised that as the decision has been already made for myself, IRCC will keep my status as PR, then reopen my fie and process my spouse's documents under the same application. I asked them for an email confirmation of what they just said, and they sent me a generic email stating required documents.
- If anyone has gone through the similar situation, kindly help out and advise how things will proceed from now on.
