COPR - Can I leave Canada and return?

Hi,

I have just received my confirmation of PR (COPR), I am currently in Canada and was planning a 2 weeks trip England over Christmas. Can I travel on a COPR or do I need to wait for my PR card? (I was previously on an IEC work permit that was due to expire next year, if that makes a difference).

I'm worried that I will not be allowed back into Canada with just the COPR letter.

You will not be allowed to board a plane without a PR card. You options are:
  1. Coming back through the land border - USA
  2. Applying for a PR travel document from abroad
