Converting TRV to WP

Hi Members,
I have a query regarding work permit please. Is it possible to convert TRV to work permit from within Canada, if you have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer who has completed all of the steps for your type of work permit?

It is very difficult. Wanting to convert your TRV to a WP is exactly why you had such a hard time getting a visa. Has the employer actually paid to get an LMIA? If so there are still no guarantees that you would get a closed work permit. The whole process should take 3-6 months and the employer pays the LMIA costs.

So this means that as long as I have a valid status (visitor) in Canada and my employer has completed all the formalities including LMIA requirements I can apply for change of status
