Hello,
I am a refugee claimant and i have been successfully accepted is a convention refugee.
I had another name when i came to Canada but my name has been changed legally and i obtained a passport on my new name from the consulate general in Toronto.
at he time of making a claim i notified my new name and i have received the health card on my new name.
In the same way will i be getting my permits and travel documents on my new name ?
my time line is as follows.
Landed on august 10 2012 as an international student.
study permit was not extended- was waiting for decision and was over staying.
CBSA calls to find out my departure date. i opted asylum on my problem on September 28.2013.
Hearing date was given on January 6, 2014.
Received letter from IRB that i have been accepted as a convention refugee .
I applied for Permanent residence on march 27, 2014.
APPLIED FOR A TRAVEL DOCUMENT AND A WORK PERMIT ON MARCH 24. 2014
can anyone tell me what happens next and how long will it probably take place to get permits and travel documents ?
What should i do as of my part i have submitted documents and gave my medicals in November 2013.
Is there anything left from my side ?
I recieved an email from CIC on April 10 2014 stating that we have recieved your application for procesing.
is anyone with the same case ? please reply.
