contract for work in Canada ! real or faked ! Plz advise

Hello everyone ,

a friend of mine who lives in Saudi Arabia currently , has signed a contract to work inside canada in a hotel !

i don't know much about how did he apply for that job , but in general , how can we confirm that a job contract for someone who lives outside Canada , is real and not a rip off ?

he is very worried about it, and would like to get any information that may assure him !

Please advise !

i don't know for sure if he had an interview or no , i have to double check on that with him !

the hotel name as it appears from the contract is The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

which i guess in Alberta , and the position they offered him is a receptionist !

any ideas ?!

Most likely fake..I'm in hotel management and these scams are all over the world. Why would the Fairmont hire someone unseen in SA?

i totally agree ! and they have offered him a starting salary of 4500 USD a month ! which is equal to approximately 6000 CAD !

doesn't make any sense for me !

but , is there anyway to confirm a 100% that it's a scam !

this guy has high hopes and i'm trying to convince him with evidence !

It's definitely a scam. But your friend can obviously believe what he wants to.

Many reasons - but if you want one obvious one, the salary would never be provided in US dollars. That's a sure fire sign of a scam.

Hope your friend doesn't end up giving them any money...
