Hello all..
Am in the Retail and garment industry ...experience is 18 years and a textile degree.
Age is 50 ..
if i join a 1 year course in humber or any other college and then apply for PR -- do i have a chance...
pls guide..

Am a single mother ,son is already in canada --an international student at humber -- 2 years course and then will work and apply for PR..

Any help/thoughts/inputs will be great

thanks all

Given your age and the fact you have a son in Canada, it will probably be very difficult to convince CIC that you are a genuine student to get an approved study permit. CIC will probably correctly guess that you are just using the study permit as a means of getting to Canada. Having said that, you can certainly try - you may get lucky. You should go with a 2 year course rather than a 1 year since this will give you a longer post graduate work permit after you finish your studies (assuming you get an approved study permit) and increase the chances that you will qualify to apply for PR.
