Hey guys just want some advise.

I am a Canadian Citizen and about a year ago i met my now girlfriend (same sex). I met her February 2014 on my trip to Jamaica. I met her the 1st day i arrived on the island and spend my whole vacation with her. i then went back in April 2014, July 2014 and April 2015. So in total i have made 4 trips to see her. i want to marry her but because same sex marriage is not allowed in the country. I want to apply for her as a conjugal partner so we can get married. I dont know if we should try and apply for a visitor visa 1st or just apply as conjugal? and if i apply for a visitors visa should i say in the invitation letter i want her to come her so we can get married?

Thank You!

A visitor visa denial won't affect a family spousal/conjugal application. If you are approved, you can get married in Canada and save the hassle of proving it's a valid conjugal relationship.

Yes, include wedding on your application, but more importantly include strong connections as reasons to return to Jamaica.

Congratulations!

In order to apply conjugal, you need to prove there are real legal/immigration barriers to you getting married or becoming common-law.

So it would be mandatory in your case to first apply for a TRV to Canada. Only if this is denied, could you then consider a conjugal PR app. CIC may also ask why she didn't apply for TRVs to other countries where same-sex marriage is legal (like USA).

Note that in general conjugal is very difficult to be approved. You need to prove you are in a marriage-like relationship, and not simply dating. You should do all you can to get married/common-law first before attempting a conjugal app.
