Hello Everyone,
I am about to apply for the PR, got my one year experience.
My questions are:
- Can I apply with my American long distance relationship Girlfriend as a conjugal partner? (I am not American...Belgian here)
- is it better to get married instead? (more chance of success)
- is getting married two weeks before sending the application valid?
- which one is faster, single, married, conjugal partner? (long distance sucks)

I just want to put all the chances before applying.

Thanks

Because you CAN get married, conjugal is a non-starter.

If you have lived together for at least a year then you are common-law in Immigration eyes and she can be added.
I don't believe that immigration has a conjugal status
If you aren't commonlaw (it doesn't sound like you are) then you would need to get married in order to add her to your application
You can get married anytime - even during the process. She will need to go through medical tests and security and criminality though so don't add her in right at the last minute as that will delay your application.
No status really is faster (not that anyone can really prove anyway) so it's personal choice

Hope that helps

Thanks that helps a lot.
yes we never lived together, she was able to visit me often in Canada but nothing like one year.
I will work on proposing then :)
