I am from India and currently residing in France. I will be strating with my PhD at HEC Montreal from Sep 2017.
I have applied for CAQ on 30 March 2017 and my documents reached the CAQ office on 6 April 2017. My university has communicated that the processing time for CAQ has now increased from 20 working days to 6 weeks.
My confusion is regarding the process I need to follow after recieving CAQ. I have gone through all the details on the CIC website and my understanding is that I require a study permit as well as a temporary visa (in the passport) to enter Canda. Also they state now the temporary visa will be issued along with my study permit. I will be applying for my study permit at Paris office online. I want to know when will I have to submit my passport for visa sticker? Is it after study pemit is granted or along with application of study permit?
I went through numerous posts here on the forum but couldn't figure it out. I would be very thankful if anyone can throw some light on this issue.
