Hello All, I just talked to the dean of my college regarding transcripts. He said to self attest all college marksheets along with degree certificate and I also need to write subject names along with subject codes in seperate piece of paper.

However in the WES website it mentions WES does not accept mark sheets that have been issued and/or attested by the college you attended unless from an autonomous or constituent college. So what does that suppposed to mean?

In simple words: if your degree exams were conducted by the university, then it should be attested by them. If your college was autonomous then it can be attested by college.

My college is autonomous. Its NIT durgapur, BUT NIT is not mentioned in the autonomous list in WES list. I fear that the college will attest it and than later it might get rejected due to NIT not being in the autonomous list.

If you're from NIT why are you worried? the list in the website covers those whose status changed or keeps changing. you won't see NIT IIT or IIM there. Don't think too much, Send it from your college and good luck.

You should look it up as National Institute of Technology, Durgapur in WES. It is on the list of autonomous colleges. You can get the transcript from college, it is a standard practice to give them the subject codes and other information for them to issue your transcript.

Hi @Resh172 and @riju16, i am from NIT durgapur as well and wondering if WES worked for you fine and you got a 4 year degree equivalent? I also do not see it in the autonomous list though.
