I'm British, hoping to emigrate to Canada next year. I changed careers age 32 and am a software developer now. I have a year's experience and can get letter from employer to prove this etc.
Previous to this I have 7 years experience as a project manager (this is *not* what I want to do now).

Q. I have a Bachelors degree with honours (3 years) from 2009 - is this eligible to be counted in my education as it isn't relevant to my NOC skill?
Q. My university say they do not issue transcripts for degrees older than 2011 - is this going to cause me serious issues?

Thank you so much for any advice, I'm going round in circles online reading documentation.

How are you immigrating to Canada? For Express Entry, you need an Educational Assessment for your degree. So it will not be counted until your ECA is complete. You need to look at ECA requirements as transcripts may be necessary.

Yeah, I'd go the express entry route - which does want a transcript. Interesting

Regarding the difference in degree / career path, is that not a problem then?

Your NOC/work experience doesn’t need to match your education for Express Entry. It just needs to be skilled in NOC A, B or 0. Some PNP programs require education to match your NOC.

Look at ECAs and see the requirements. Most such as WES would require a transcript.
