Hi,

As far as I know...

1. If your overall profile is good..you are good to go... that along with choosing proper course ( in your field) and upper credential or atleast similar,than your current qualification and your financial condition matters most. Rest doesn't matter.. until and unless you've any crime/illegal/black record in Canada.. no matter how many times you may have visited.. really shouldn't matter. And since you got Master's, 1.5 years work ex.. you should look forward to pursue PHD or Master's at any of the publicly funded university.

2. Yea, that will definitely affect in a negative way.. ... such cases are viewed as acts of being irresponsible and not serious in studies. It definitely decreases your husband's credibility as a potential genuine student. But since you are the principle applicant..shouldn't be a worry.

3. Most universities/ colleges require minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (with no bands less than 6.0) for admission to PG courses. Can be as high as 7.5, for certain courses at top rated universities.

@Vidhi1987,

Ofcourse your husband can apply for dependent visa along with your study permit.

But i thinks it would be better to apply for your husband's visa after going canada.
Because by doing that it will help you to prove your home time.

Thank you tiger007 :)

one more thing some university are ready to give me admission without IELTS so do i need to give IELTS for visa purpose? do you have any idea about dependent visa?

Even if on paper IELTS is only required for admission purposes, and if college/University is not asking..it's still a good idea to appear for IELTS and score as much as you can, as it adds positive points to your overall profile, unless of course you are 100% sure you've got a solid profile..good academics..then no need to appear for IELTS, when the Univ. is not asking for.

Hi,

1. It won't make much difference. Your 'course selection/eductional profile' matters a lot.
2. Doesn't matter (atleast for you), because it's you who is the main applicant for study permit, not your husband.
3. You can skip IELTS. Still, would be better to attach the same.
4. There is no dependent visa, only TRV. Your spouse will have to fill up a 'seperate' 'Application for a TRV Made Outside of Canada [IMM 5257]. You can send your study permit application + spouse TRV application in one envelope.
