Confusion between Visitor Visa, OWP and TRV

Hi,

Myself and my Husband are flying down to Canada next month. My Husband has received his Work Permit and i have received my Visitor Visa for 2 years.
Since i am currently in India, i had applied for an Open Work Permit on cic.gc.ca. My application has got approved, and they have asked me to submit my Passport to issue the Visa Stamp. But in their request letter, they have mentioned KINDLY SUBMIT YOUR PASSPORT TOWARDS YOUR APPLICATION OF TEMPORARY RESIDENT VISA.
I am not sure what to do, since i already have a visitor visa, and had applied for Open Work Permit, but receiving a TRV.
Can someone please help out.

Hi Scylla, I am still confused. I have my Visitor Visa for 2 years and while applying for OWP, they are issuing TRV.
Will both Visa (Visitor and TRV) not be overlapping on each other?

Hello Pooja..I am in the same situation as you are. I have a valid TRV, but then I decided to apply for an OWP and got approved. And the same thing, they asked me to submit my passport for visa stamping..Can you share your experience..is there any issue about this? Appreciate your reply to this..Thanks

You still need special permission to come to Canada even with the OWP.
