Although I have no information but would imagine salary for a makeup artist in Canada might not be much more than a minimum wage but that is just speculation on my part. Google salaries for artists.
As for a course then just choosing some random course , in demand or not, will not work as has to be relevant to your current qualifications and any work experience so you need to have specific goal in mind to demonstrate how any course will help on return to your home country. Choosing a makeup artist course for example is likely a sure rejection.
