Good morning,
I have a question to ask and i will appreciate your answers. I`m a Nigerian and my wife is Canadian. We submitted our application as an outland applicants. But it was returned back to her 2 days ago. We were told to get some more documents which seems confusing for both of us. Below are the lists.
*Joint ownership of residential property or residential leases
*Proof of joint utilities accounts
*Important documents for you and your sponsor showing the same address, like license or insurance policies, employment or insurance benefits.
*Documentary evidence of financial support showing that you are recognized as each others spouse.
We are not living together and she said if she wants to include my name in her account or any documents, they will need me to be there in person to sign before my name can be included. What can we do to get it straighten out because it`s the only thing delaying us. Your reply will be much appreciated.
Thanks

If you do not include something, you need to provide a letter of explanation.

Other supporting documents (Financial): money transfers if any, between the two of you. Even if you apply outland you can visit her by applying for a TRV (temporary resident visa). If you applied for one and it was denied, you need to include that in the explanatory letter of why you cannot provide these requirements. Hopefully that will work.

There is a also thread for persons who submitted outland applications in February 2017, there are applicants who are applying outland who could not provide those documents so reference what they provided.

I suggest that if you can come on vacation, that you do so and then open a bank account, etc so if required, you can send that proof later on.

i added my husband as my beneficiary to RRSPs and insurance policies... this is what we sent -- we live together so we have joint stuff which helped!
