Hi

My husband is a PR in canada. He is working with a consulting firm there and shifted there 6 months back.
I am staying in India and am working for an IT consultancy..
I want to know whether I should apply for a spouse visa from India to go there?
Or Can i apply for a tourist visa first and if the tourist visa is accepted I can visit him and file a spouse visa while I am in Canada?

Which of these options would be recommended and has a greater chance of acceptance? Which case should be adopted in order to reduce the processing time?

Any guidance in this regard is welcome.

You can go for both.

But if I was you, i would go for spouse visa.

If somehow the sponsorship application is refused

In case of Spouse Visa Sponsorship = You have the right to reapply
In case of Tourist Visa & then Sponsor in Canada = Not eligible to reapply & you have to go back to your country.

You can't apply both. Visitor visa get rejected 100%. You have to apply out land sponsorship.

Hi @dilanchamara

Thanks for your reply.

What if I apply for spouse visa first and while my visa is in processing state I apply for tourist visa.

What are the chances of approval??
