hi everyone
I have applied for PR two years back under simplified process. At that time i had four year experience in my field so i applied with that job code. But i lost my job in the start of this year due to global meltdown. Now i am getting job in the education industry which is having different job code. How it will impact my case if i join? I am very confused what to do as its been six months i am jobless. Should i join or wait for the right opportunity in the industry whose code i mentioned in PR form. plz help..

as far as i know, it doesn't matter.

yes, being unemployed doesn't matter. you just have to meet the selection factors; be in the 38 list, with proof of funds, etc. refer to the cic website.

sine the OP applied 2 years back, the 38 job list criteria need not be fulfilled.

oh, i didn't know that. good for them! thanks for the info rupeshhari....

i am not sure how the old process works. Someone else should answer. The thing i know is that for the old process, the current rule is that you don't need to have a job in the list of 38. You should have at least one year of experience in a skill level 0,A, or B job which i think you should have had when you applied.
