HI. i did make an earlier post of slightly different subject. I cant make heads or tails from the main website :o My boyfriend is coming here for 2 weeks in march. When the schools break up from the uk at the end of may. Iam hoping to take the girls and i to Canada, until they must return in September. We then plan on returning for xmas in December.

We do plan to get married in July when we go over but intend to return as im sure i wont be aloud to stay just cause we are married. So he needs to sponsor us which he can comfortably cover us.

My questions are... will these times count as living together?
Can i return in December (not having needed a visit visa as not long enough)
If i apply for a 6 month visit visa after xmas, and pay for study visas for my girls to attend school. Then extend while still staying there (if possible) to a year.
Do i still need to do a language test?
Can i in addition to my girls on my extension apply for a work visa?
is there anything else ive missed?

your help is very much appreciated.
And after all mentioned about will i eventually be aloud to become a permanent resident?

You've received responses to your first thread. In the future, please review that first and continue asking questions in your old thread rather than creating a new one.

No - this won't be counted as living together, you'll just be visiting.
Sure - you can return in December. Make sure you bring proof of ties to the US and don't pack like you're moving. Otherwise you could end up with issues entering Canada
You don't apply for a visitor visa since you are from the US. You would come to Canada on your US passports alone. Hopefully you are aware that it will cost around $14K per year for each of your children to attend public school (they will be foreign students and must therefore pay to attend school).
No - you don't need a language test.
No - you won't qualify for a work permit. You can only apply for a work permit without a job offer if you submit a sponsorship application using the inland route and include and open work permit. That open work permit will be granted approximately four months after your sponsorship application is received. However you should apply outland rather than inland as an American. Inland does come with a work permit - but it also takes around three years during which time you are not supposed to leave Canada. With outland, there's no work permti but you could be done in just a few months. Otherwise to apply for a work permit you would need to secure a full time job offer from an employer in Canada along with an approved LMIA (unless your job qualifies under NAFTA) before you would qualify to apply for a closed work permit.
You need to look into private health care insurance while you are all here. Remember that as visitors you won't be covered under the provincial health care system.
