The NOC is the list of ALL occupations.

The 38 is the list of in-demand occupations in Canada which was dervied from the NOC list.

See this link to understand more clearly http://www.canadavisa.com/new-instructions-federal-skilled-worker-applications.html

Well, the only NOC code related to computers which is included in the 38 is NOC 0213: Computer and Information Systems Manager. Since you mentioned that you do not hold a managerial position then I do not think that you qualify under this NOC code, so sorry ... Not unless you have managerial level duties and responsibilities eventhough in title you are not a manager.

You can acess the previous link I posted and browse through the list to see for yourself.

This is just my opinion. Others in this forum please feel free to comment anytime.

ahsani6,

I have applied from USA to Buffalo Office Under 0213 IT Infrastructure Operation Manager on November 5th (Not Associate). Been an IT Infrastructure Manager over 12 Years. Here is the bottom line.

1. Provide Company Letter Head Identify YOU as an MANAGER, that's the key word, attached CEO or whomever your Boss Business Card.
2. Corporate Seal Stamped on the Reference/Employment verification letter.
3. Complete Technical Training Certification (MCSE, CCNP, UNIX etc, etc). Key word here is Notarized All documents when send as copy. (personally I made color Copies that they can see watermarks) that the letter head and certifications are REAL.
4. Education: Color copy of degree (Bachelor,Master, etc etc...) With Sealed Transcript Envelope.
5. I also sent a copy of Professional Resume', that reflects 0213 Duties, and description. (the more info, the better). Since there is a limitation of space in application, I decided to Include my resume'.
6. College Professor "recommendation" while attending school to attest you were a good student (2 copies).

In summation: Need to demonstrate EDUCATION/Training Under the new 38 Job Category. That's my humble opinion about whomever wanted to go this route (0213 IT Operation Manager). I hope this has been helpful for those are confused about JOB TITLE,and description. If all else Fails read the necessary information before applying, and see if you can gather all the documents per their request.

Sounds like a good plan cajoejoe. Keep us posted as to what happens to your application will you?
Good luck and God bless :)

trinatocanada,

Certainly. I am waiting patiently for the AOR. As soon as i Hear something will update, or make a thread. I will list one more time all the paper work (applications & Documents) with details submitted to CIC Under "0213-IT Technology Manager Process". Thank you for the positive comment.

There's absolutely no need for notarized copies to be color copies (which are more expensive and not available everywhere).
A notarized copy means the copy and the original were compared, and the contents are the same.

I mean, sure, you can go for color copies if you want, but you're not getting extra points for that ;-)

eduardoF,

I been around long enough to tell you this, first impression will get you foot in the door. whether, you are applying for a job coming with portfolio on hand Vs. not having anything. The choice is clear, As IT Manager, and real life experience those who make the extra (which I do the hiring) effort will get the job. Give it a try, this may help you. As for me, if the immigration Officer looks at my application and documents (like a portfolio-organized) THERE will be no room for extra questioning (i don't need extra point just to be clear have scored on the assessment 86). Also, you miss read as in where I applied from (CALIFORNIA), I hope we have color copies these days, you passed by this QUOTATION As well (personally I made color Copies that they can see watermarks) . Same is true for Notary. If someone here wants a paper to be legally bind they use a LAWYER or cheaper way the NOTARY service. Again,,, re-read the post when making a comment.
