Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I got my PR last summer on my trip to Canada & returned back to my country to do some unfinished errands.I married my boyfriend in January & now I`m going back to canada to stay,
I need to get a PR for my husband as we are living alone so it is so hard for us .
I studied this website and Cic as well and noticed most of the required documents and that for Spousal Cases Proof of income is not needed .
But i consulted with a lawyer and he told me that i should submit the proof of income too . some of my friends who had the similar case also told me that they have been asked for the financial proof during this process .
but i haven't lived in Canada yet so i have no Income statements , and i am planing to continue my studies .
I understand that i shouldn't use any Welfare or financial support from Government and it's going to take at least 6 to 8 month for the Process .
So the problem is do i really need any financial proof or not ? what should we consider for making this process faster ?
Thanks In advance ,any suggestions would help .

You do not need financial proof to sponsor a spouse. You need proof of your relationship. They may be suspicious that you married very soon after getting PR and they may want to know if you were that close to marriage why you did not marry before you became PR and add your boyfriend to your file. They may want to make sure that you had not been living with your boyfriend before you applied so you did not qualify as a common law couple when you applied.

Thanks , so now my problem is how to make them sure about my marriage ....
my boy friend and i were friends for years but we haven't lived with each other before i got my PR because we didn't have the chance .
we married In IRAN and after that i moved to dubai and lived with my husband for 2 months . which documents should i collect while i am In Dubai to help this process . we don't have any joint accounts or bills as my husband been living there for 4 month if it's necessary we can open an account .
what can i do to make this process faster ?

You need proof that you communicated such as letters or emails you wrote to each other, photos of you together, phonebills to show that you called each other etc. In your case, you may need to show proof that you did not live together until you got married so find some papers with addresses on, rental contracts, whatever. Because you are a PR and not a citizen, you need to move to Canada first before you apply to sponsor him.

Your husband will need to submit a police clearance certificate from each country where he lived for 6 consecutive months or more since the age of 18. He will also need to submit proof of a medical exam completed by a designated medical practitioner (DMP). DMPs for UAE are here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?CountryID=2033&CountryName=United%20Arab%20Emirates There may be additional requirements for applicants from the Middle East. You'll need to read the country-specific guidebook here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3911e.pdf Good luck.

I understand that i should collect and send all 3 part of Sponsorship package (including the immigration forms like medical test ) at once and send them together to the office and i should pay the ($70 application fee +$475 principal applicant+$490 Right of Permanent Residence) Fee .
plz correct me if I am wrong.

I have read that i should have been living in CANADA for submitting the forms and maybe i should prove that i will be living in CANADA ...
when i get to CANADA do i need to wait for a while and possibly find a job before submitting the forms ?
How can i prove my intention for living in CANADA ?

You must be living in and staying in Canada during the entire process as you are a PR. Only citizens can sponsor from abroad. Also your spouse would be sending YOU the forms from his side and than you compile your side together and mail it to Mississauga. You have to pay the application fee and the applicant fee and you can pay the right of permanent residence fee later but keep in mind it may delay you a month or two.. if you have the funds pay it ..

Thanks so far , I had a quick review on the form and in sponsorship Evaluation form i noticed that i should declare my employment status .
as you know currently i am unemployed . Does this affect my Process ?
If being employed is a great deal and has a strong effect on the process maybe i should wait and find a job then submit the kit .... Am I right?
My husband supports me because we have a little saving ,i am wondering if i declare this do i need to send any proof or bank statement ?

It doesn't matter if you are unemployed. You can still apply. You don't need proof that your husband supports you but probably not a bad idea to let them know that. You can attach a separate note about it.

tomorrow my husband is going to take the medical exam , in the forms we should declare which visa office is processing this report .
what is his visa office? Is it Mississauga or the nearest high Commission Immigration Section of the country which he is living in now?
my husband is iranian but he's living abroad ,which Country Specific Instructions should he follow ? iranian or the place he is living right now ?

Friends any suggestion will help. I am confused about the Visa office as i described in the previous post and which additional documents should i prepare ? should they be based on Iran or the country of living ?

Thanx in advance ...

If it will not be in-land application (in Canada) I think it depends on the country he plans to stay in the nearest future (minimum 6 months or so). As for me, I'd prefer to use the Visa Office that is in the country of citizenship (in your case, it is Iran) - this way it will be easier for the Canadian Consulate in Iran to process the application - less time, less problems, as it will not take much time for them to check all your husband's paperwork as it will be of Iranian origin. That is my point of view.

Thanks a lot ,
As He is living abroad , if it is possible he'd prefer to use the country of resident because It saves him the difficulty of traveling to IRAN .
Any suggestion on the additional documents that he should prepare .(should it be based on the country of citizenship or country of resident ?)

IF he use the country of resident instead of the country of citizenship will it take longer time for the whole process ?

He needs to have been legally admitted to his country of residence for at least 1 year in order to be able to use a different embassy than his citizenship. You need to follow the guidelines of the Region Specific forms for that country in order to know what he should prepare and submit. The link is here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

The visa office is NOT Mississauga. It is the embassy wherever you have his application for PR assessed. Mississauga only assesses your eligibility as a sponsor.

Thanks for your quick response , as he is going to take the medical test in 6 hours it is critical for him to know ....
He is studding there for 7 months ,and he has a 1 year extendable visa and 1 year immigration card . so can he use His resident country's embassy ? (because i heard in the student case they can use the different embassy) .
